This quirky comedy, tightly written and directed by David Finley, takes place on a day that holds unexplained past significance for a writer named Eddie (Timothy Walker). On top of that, he has to deal with his fed-up girlfriend Charlotte (Megan Murphy), losing his job, his brutal AA sponsor (John Dickie) and a name-dropping psychiatrist (John Illingworth). The exceptional cast instinctively play off each other, with extra kudos to Murphy, who ensures that her tightly wound, lisping Charlotte retains some dignity. Finley also includes some charming physical comedy, turning actor Ryan Giesen into a human sandwich board that gets tons of laughs.
